Families, case managers and adult family homes across Washington are looking for you. Confirm your listing, find nurses to trade cases with, and use the same training tools your colleagues use.

The map lists every RN on the DSHS contracted-delegator list, with the phone, email and counties DSHS publishes. Confirm your listing to add what DSHS doesn't show: the settings and tasks you take, languages, and whether you are accepting clients. Private-pay delegators without a DSHS contract can be listed here too.
What families will see
- Your name or business name
- The counties and settings you serve
- The tasks you delegate and languages you speak
- Whether you are taking new clients
- The phone and email DSHS publishes for you, or the ones you choose below
Requests from families in your counties come to you by email, and the first delegator to claim one gets the family's contact details. We ask you to confirm your listing every six months so the map stays accurate.
Sign in to the delegator portal
- Enter your ProviderOne ID. We email a sign-in link to the address DSHS has on file for you.
- Click the link. That proves the listing is yours, and you are verified on the spot.
- Add your tasks, languages and whether you are taking clients. Requests from your counties then come straight to your inbox.
Not on the DSHS list? Private-pay delegators sign up with an email and RN license number, and Karla verifies you.
Contracting with DSHS
The requirements below come from the DSHS RN Delegator Orientation of January 2025. Check the Nurse Delegation Program page for changes.
- To contract as an RN delegator
- An active, unencumbered Washington or multistate RN license, at least 2 years of nursing experience, 2 professional recommendations, a business operating in Washington, general or professional liability insurance, and a DSHS background check every 2 years.
- Getting started
- Request a contract packet from nursedelegation@dshs.wa.gov and register for the RN delegator class. Medicaid payment runs through a ProviderOne account with the Health Care Authority.
- Caregivers you delegate to
- An active NA-C, NA-R or HCA-C credential without restrictions, a Nurse Delegation Core training certificate, and the Special Focus on Diabetes certificate before giving insulin.
- Supervision
- A nursing visit at least every 90 days. For insulin, supervision every 2 weeks for the first 4 weeks, or more often if you judge it necessary.
- Billing
- 15-minute units. $12.86 a unit for an individual RN, $15.43 for a home health agency RN. HCS and DDA clients are authorized 100 units a month for 12 months; more needs a request form.
- Rules to know
- WAC 246-840-910 to 970, with the decision tree at 940. Assuming or rescinding delegation is covered in 950 and 960.
